
Solar Workgroup of Southwest Virginia releases Group Solicitation RFP for Solar Services in Virginia
RFP seeks bids for as much as 2.133 MW of new solar photovoltiaic generation for Institutions located within Southwest Virginia.
The Solar Workgroup of Southwest Virginia (SWG), supported through a grant by the US Department of Energy Sunshot Initiative, announces the Solar Services 2018 Group Solicitation Request for Proposals. This RFP includes third party ownership solar services options as well as solar array development for purchase options for eight institutional project sites within the region.
The objective of the 2018 Group Purchase Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is to increase solar installations in the seven coalfield counties of Southwest Virginia through a group procurement solicitation process which will result in reduced pricing for Subject Site building owners through a competitive selection process. In addition, this procurement process will develop a client base with improved awareness and education on solar PV issues and expectations. This 2018 Group Purchase RFP is the first of multiple group purchase solicitation efforts planned by SWG.
