The City of North Mankato Climate Action Plan

The City of North Mankato developed its first Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, address climate impacts, and build community resilience. This strategic roadmap, funded by a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, was developed through broad engagement with stakeholders such as local businesses, government agencies, and residents to guide efforts in adapting to climate change and improving energy efficiency in public infrastructure. A key goal of the plan is to engage and educate citizens, and align with Minnesota’s Climate Action Framework to promote clean energy, transportation, and a sustainable economy.

The plan was created by a multi-stakeholder Planning Team facilitated and supported by the City’s Climate Action Plan consultant, paleBLUEdot.
