how to get involved now:
Creating Resilient Crystal, the City of Crystal’s Climate Action Plan
The City of Crystal, Minnesota has a long history of sustainability efforts, which have been supported through the establishment of the Sustainability Commission. The City is a Minnesota GreenStep City and achieved Step 3 in 2019. The city is now developing Resilient Crystal, the City’s first climate action plan to guide action towards that goal, address climate impacts, and build community resilience. This strategic roadmap will engage stakeholders such as local businesses, government agencies, and residents to guide efforts in adapting to climate change and improving energy efficiency in the community. The plan is being developed through a collaborative, multi-stakeholder Resilient Crystal Planning Team facilitated and supported by the City’s climate action plan consultant, paleBLUEdot.

While facts and statistics about sustainability and climate change are important, they are not enough. We also need to hear the voices and visions of those imagining a brighter, more resilient future. Your story is a powerful part of our community’s path toward sustainability, resilience and collective hope.
