Creating the City of Falcon Heights Climate Action Plan

The City of Falcon Heights developed a Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, address climate impacts, and build community resilience. This strategic roadmap, funded by a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, engaged stakeholders such as local businesses, government agencies, and residents to guide efforts in adapting to climate change and improving energy efficiency in public infrastructure. The plan also explores ways to assist financially disadvantaged residents with energy-efficient upgrades and increase awareness of grant opportunities. Key goals in the planning effort were to engage and educate citizens, and to align with Minnesota’s Climate Action Framework to promote clean energy, transportation, and a sustainable economy.

The plan was created by a multi-stakeholder Planning Team facilitated and supported by the City’s Climate Action Plan consultant, paleBLUEdot.
