Creating the Fitchburg Sustainability Plan
The City of Fitchburg has created a Sustainability Plan. The Sustainability Plan establishes goals and provides a menu of detailed actions to support increasing sustainability citywide. The Sustainability Plan seeks to be a tool supporting the City, businesses, and residents in identifying and implementing actions to increase our resilience and meet sustainability goals. The plan was created by a multi-stakeholder Planning Team facilitated and supported by the City’s Sustainability Plan consultant, paleBLUEdot.

Community Sustainability Survey
The city issued an online community survey to collect input from a broad range of community members. The intent of the survey was to help identify sustainability needs, opportunities, priorities, and issues for the City of Fitchburg. The survey was made available for community members from July 2023 through February 14th, 2024. You can review the survey summary report below or download the report here.
