Eagan, MN — The City of Eagan has engaged paleBLUEdot to spearhead its inaugural Climate Action Plan—a bold commitment to reduce emissions, bolster resilience, and build a healthier future for all residents.

paleBLUEdot will guide Eagan through the planning process, helping the city take critical first steps through a climate vulnerability assessment and a greenhouse gas inventory. The resulting plan will target eight crucial sectors: buildings and energy, transportation, land use, waste management, water, wastewater, health and safety, as well as local food systems, trees, ecosystems, and the economy. The action plan is designed around four strategic approaches:

Lead by example through municipal initiatives
Offer incentives for community engagement
Deliver educational resources and advocacy
Explore tailored policy updates

Community involvement will be central throughout the planning process. City staff, public partners, and Eagan residents will be facilitated by paleBLUEdot to collaboratively create the Climate Action Plan. This collaborative planning team will co-create and refine the plan’s goals and actions through a series of workshops.

This Climate Action Plan will be more than a document—it will be a roadmap for Eagan to:

Achieve measurable greenhouse gas reductions
Strengthen community adaptation to climate challenges
Foster healthier, greener neighborhoods
