City of Falcon Heights Launches First Climate Action Plan with paleBLUEdot

Falcon Heights, MN — The City of Falcon Heights has selected paleBLUEdot, a Minnesota-based climate and sustainability consulting firm, to guide development of the city’s first Climate Action Plan.

Located between Minneapolis and St. Paul, Falcon Heights is home to about 5,000 residents and has a history of advancing local sustainability efforts. The new Climate Action Plan will build on this foundation by setting measurable goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen community resilience, and chart a path toward long-term sustainability.

The project will include a greenhouse gas inventory, a climate vulnerability assessment, studies of renewable energy potential and carbon sequestration, and recommendations for locally tailored strategies. Public engagement, with an emphasis on equity and inclusion, will ensure community voices shape the city’s priorities.

“The Climate Action Plan will provide Falcon Heights with a roadmap to protect our environment, prepare for climate impacts, and create a healthier, more resilient future,” said Falcon Heights Community Development Coordinator, Hannah Lynch.

paleBLUEdot has partnered with over 80 communities across Minnesota and the U.S. on climate planning, bringing experience in both technical analysis and public engagement to support Falcon Heights in this milestone effort.
